Blackshear Fellowships Now Open To Apply

NCBJ Announces Blackshear NCBJ Presidential Fellowship Opportunities for 2017 Conference

The National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges is now accepting applications for its Honorable Cornelius Blackshear Presidential Fellowship for minority lawyers who practice bankruptcy law.  Click on the link below for information about Judge Blackshear, the Fellowship criteria, the application form and other information about the program: http://www.ncbj.org/?page=BlackshearFellowship.            

The Blackshear Presidential Fellowship, named after esteemed Bankruptcy Judge Cornelius Blackshear, now retired from the Southern District of New York, provides both waived conference registration and a stipend for reasonable travel/hotel expenses for five up-and-coming minority bankruptcy practitioners (with five to ten years of experience) who wish to attend the annual meeting of the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges and who otherwise meets the selection criteria.

The submission period for applications is May 30, 2017 to July 17, 2017.  The deadline for submitting applications is July17, 2017 at 5 pm ET.  The application and supporting documents must be sent via e-mail to: Kathy_Surratt-States@moeb.uscourts.gov.  Early and late applications will not be accepted.
